Camera frames and AR tracking are processed on your device. boardAR does not send them to its developer or research services.
Some circuit-generation requests can send focused text questions to external research providers.
The app does not require a boardAR account and does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
This policy applies to the boardAR iPhone and iPad app and this product website. boardAR is developed and operated by Neeraj Rajeev Shetkar. In this policy, “we” and “us” refer to the developer.
boardAR is an educational electronics workbench. Core AR placement, circuit simulation, built-in projects, and local guidance do not require a boardAR account. We do not operate an account database for app users, sell their personal information, or use their app activity for advertising.
With your permission, boardAR uses the camera and ARKit to detect surfaces, track the device, and position virtual components. The app processes camera frames and AR tracking information locally. It does not upload camera images, room scans, or tracking information to the developer, SCX.ai, or Parallel.
Supported AI tutoring and circuit generation use Apple’s on-device Foundation Models framework. The app supplies your question and relevant circuit or code context to the local model. This on-device processing is separate from external research described below; boardAR does not send tutor conversations to a developer-operated AI server.
Saved circuit designs, wiring, sketches, and research references are stored in the app’s local storage. boardAR does not enable CloudKit synchronisation for its circuit library. Device backups may include app data according to your Apple backup settings. Research model preferences are stored locally, and provider API keys you choose to enter are stored in the device Keychain.
During some circuit-generation requests, the on-device model can propose focused electronics questions for SCX.ai or Parallel. Questions are derived from your description and may include information you put into it. Research does not send camera frames or the room’s AR tracking data.
Providers process requests under their own terms and privacy practices and may process data outside your country. Read the SCX.ai privacy policy and Parallel privacy policy for their retention and data-use details. boardAR cannot delete copies held by those providers.
You can use built-in projects without external research, leave SCX.ai credentials unset, and choose Skip research while a generation request is researching. Skipping cancels outstanding work; it cannot recall a question already sent. Avoid including personal, confidential, or sensitive information in circuit descriptions used for research.
This site is hosted on Vercel. Delivering and securing the site involves processing ordinary connection data, which can include IP addresses, requested pages, browser information, timestamps, and security logs. Vercel’s handling is described in its Privacy Notice.
The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser makes requests to Google’s font servers. These requests disclose connection information such as your IP address and browser headers. See Google’s explanation of Google Fonts privacy and the Google Privacy Policy.
We do not add advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or a marketing-cookie system to this site. Component searching and filtering happen in your browser; search text is not sent to a search service. External links open websites with their own privacy policies.
If you email shetkarneeraj@icloud.com, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments or device details you choose to provide. We use these to answer your request, investigate problems, and keep a record of the support conversation. Email providers also process the correspondence to deliver and store it.
We keep support correspondence only as needed to handle the request, maintain relevant support records, or meet legal requirements. Please do not include API keys, passwords, or unrelated personal information. You can ask us to delete support correspondence using the address above.
We cannot access circuit files that remain solely on your device. Data held by Apple, Vercel, Google, or a research provider is also subject to that provider’s own controls and retention practices.
boardAR is a general-audience educational app with no child-account system, social feed, or advertising. Parents and guardians should help younger users understand external research and avoid entering personal information. If you believe a child has sent personal information directly to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
We will update this page when the app’s data handling changes and revise the date at the top. For privacy questions, requests, or concerns, contact Neeraj Rajeev Shetkar at shetkarneeraj@icloud.com.
